Poppy Helmer

Flute

Now based in London, Poppy recently completed a BMus in Jazz Flute at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. During her studies, Poppy performed with the Trinity Laban Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Byron Wallen, Bruno Heinen, and Percy Pursglove.

She recently recorded flute on Olivia Murphy’s Siren Cycle and has performed as part of Murphy’s jazz orchestra. Leading her own quartet and, at times, sextet, Poppy regularly performs her original music. Career highlights to date include appearances at We Out Here Festival, Brick Lane Jazz Festival, and the Vortex Jazz Club.
