Sheen currently serves as Vice-President of the Oxford University Jazz Orchestra (OUJO) and will join the orchestra on its September 2026 tour to Tokyo and Kansai. Sheen features on OUJO’s recent album Checkmate, which includes works composed and arranged by jazz pianist Gwilym Simcock alongside other selections from the orchestra’s repertoire. His musical influences span bebop, contemporary jazz, folk, and modern improvisatory styles.
More recently, he has been exploring sounds inspired by Indian classical music and is keen to develop these influences further in his work. Alongside his musical pursuits, Sheen is studying Physics at the University of Oxford and looks forward to balancing his final year of study with weekly NYJO Blueprint Orchestra rehearsals in London.
