Here at NYJO, we nurture young musicians aged 18 and under through high-quality workshops, courses and performance opportunities. We value access, inclusivity, process, and progress at all levels, and believe in harnessing the power of musical participation as a tool for personal growth.

Over the summer, we invited over 40 young people from different backgrounds to bring their creativity and individuality to work with us in order to realise their musical ambitions. This Youth Takeover Day, presented in partnership with Chelsea Arts Festival, showcases the result of their hard work. You will get to hear everything from a Big Band, through to choral Carole King music, so come along and join us!
