NYJO Under 18s + NYJO Latin Jazz Collective

This evening show will begin with a performance by the NYJO Under 18s, led by MDs Winston Clifford and Olivia Murphy. The NYJO Under 18s is a Saturday programme for young jazz musicians aged 14-18, offering training, ensemble-playing, performance opportunities and jams to develop their technique and creativity.

Following this, a 15-piece NYJO ensemble of Emerging Professionals (aged 18-25) will be performing a high-tempo Latin-infused programme, exploring everything from Salsa sounds to Afro-Cuban Jazz, under the mentorship and direction of Sara Dhillon. Sara is a composer, arranger, pianist, vocalist, and the bandleader of Grupo Malanga. We invite you to join us for an exciting night of Latin American rhythms, featuring some of the UK’s most talented emerging artists.
