NYJO returns to Love Supreme Festival this July!

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis’s birth with a fresh look at his iconic bebop classics. NYJO’s Emerging Professional Musicians honour this moment with a special nine-piece band, debuting fresh new arrangements from lead trumpet NYJO’s own Tom Stringer alongside historic repertoire from the iconic 1957 album Birth of the Cool.

Band leader Tom Stringer says:

“This project is a really exciting opportunity to honour the legacy and music of one of the most important figures in Jazz still to this day. Miles Davis was a pioneer and a stronghand in developing foundations that Jazz across the globe still stands on.”
