Tuesday evenings from 4 November – 16 December, 16:30 – 18:00
Woolwich Works, Greenwich SE18 6HD
For young musicians aged 13 – 18 (including vocalists) who are approx. Grades 4+ on their instrument.
These sessions will give you the chance to explore the musical sounds of London as it is now, as well as envision a new future for the city through song-writing. Over the weeks, you will work with some of NYJO’s brilliant 18 – 25 year old musicians to curate your own performance set. This will feature arrangements of existing songs that speak to the city around you, as well as the chance to write your own brand-new music that tells the story of London!
This project will finish with a professionally recorded showcase performance, where you will play alongside NYJO musicians to a supportive audience of family and friends.
If you love music, and are keen to develop your skills and confidence alongside other young people, then get involved!
Fees to take part in the full 7-week project are:
1. Free if you are in receipt of Pupil Premium/Free School Meals/from a low-income family in receipt of any form of benefit.
2. £25 if you live or study in the borough of Greenwich.
3. £50 for all other young people.
Please don’t let the cost be a barrier to you coming – we will do our best to reduce the cost for anyone who needs it so please just get in touch.
