We are delighted to be partnering with Leicestershire Music Hub across February – March this year! Three local secondary school ensembles will get the chance to work with NYJO Emerging Professional musicians Red Fielder Van Kleeff, Jamie Rees, Jack Pearce, and Jai Patel, building their confidence in improvisation and experimenting with new musical styles.
Over four sessions in each school, the young people will all be rehearsing the same set of material, culminating in a final day of recording where everyone will be brought together digitally to feel like they are playing in one huge ensemble. Keep an eye out on our socials for the release of this video!
This project is delivered as part of our National Learning programme, based around ‘Collaborative Learning’ and ‘Partnership Building’ project strands, where we co-develop initiatives with national partners that respond to their work and their communities’ needs.
